Abstract:Deep mining in metal mines is likely to cause cave-in type mining tremor. In this paper we analyze and summarize the process characteristics, morphological characteristics and genetic mechanism of two collapsed earthquakes that occurred in two adjacent iron mining areas of Fanshi and Daixian. It is believed that the generation of these two earthquakes is closely related to the factors such as structural stress, rainfall and artificial mining around the area. The precursor characteristics of the two collapses are clear so that we can make full use of the collapsed data recorded by seismic monitoring network,to screen and collect more earthquake cases. By further studying of the relation between collapse and induced earthquake,we will be able to forecast mining tremor events in time,in order to serve emergency departments and our society better.
