Abstract:The shallow seismic exploration plays an important role in the detection of active faults in cities. The previous practice shows that the shallow seismic reflection wave method can obtain the reflection signals of shallow strata from a depth of 10 meters to several tens meters. Moreover, most of the reflection profiles can clearly reveal the location and characteristics of shallow faults. On other hand, seismic data processing is also an important link for accurate identification of near-surface active faults, and it is an effective way to improve the data resolution and signal to noise ratio. In this paper, we used shallow seismic data of Handan active fault, with applying multi-path and step de-drying technique and method, by which the interference is suppressed and the signal-to-noise ratio and resolution of the data are greatly improved. Finally, in order to make more progress in data processing of super-layer seismic exploration on active faults, we studied and verified the typical sections of active faults, which can be used for reference in shallow seismic exploration on active faults.
